사진가 안웅철은 서울과 뉴욕에서 여러번의 개인전과 그룹전에 참여했다. 엘지와 삼성을 비롯한 국내 대기업과의 애뉴얼 리포트, 다큐멘터리 매거진 GEO, 또한 Vogue, Bazaar, W Korea, Numero, 대한항공 기내지 Morning Calm 등 여러 매체들과 함께하고 있으며, 2014년 부터는 세계적인 음반 레이블인 독일의 ECM Records와 일하고 있는데 약 30여 앨범에 참여했다.
가나아트센터 입주작가 (2014-2016) 활동하다 현재는 세상의 풍경과 문화를 재해석하는 작업과 함께 인물 사진에 매진하고 있으며, 2025년에는 삼성문화재단 창립 60주년 아카이브북을 촬영 했으며 비 정기적으로 방송과 강연회를 통해 대중과 소통하고있다.
Photographer Woong Chul An has presented multiple solo and group exhibitions in Seoul and New York. He has collaborated with major Korean corporations, including LG and Samsung, on annual reports, and has contributed to documentary magazine GEO as well as numerous fashion and culture publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, W Korea, Numero, and Korean Air’s in-flight magazine Morning Calm.
Since 2014, he has been working with the world-renowned German record label ECM Records,(www.ecmrecords.com) contributing to approximately 30 albums.
An was an artist-in-residence at Gana Art Center from 2014 to 2016. He is currently dedicated to reinterpreting the landscapes and cultures of the world while continuing his portrait practice. In 2025, he photographed the Samsung Foundation of Culture’s 60th-anniversary archive book, and he also engages with the public through occasional broadcasts and lectures.
